Followup on Tom Tancredo
If you saw my post on Tom Tancredo, Republican Representative from Littleton, CO (that's CO-06), apparently he's being eyed as a possible presidential candidate? I don't buy it, but he would be running on an anti-immigration platform. The word on the street is that, while the Republican party shunned him a bit when trying to court Hispanic votes for Bush before, they're supporting him wholeheartedly for 2006, so he'll probably get a bit of national attention.
The problem I see is that business interests would be against him, because many businesses depend on illegal immigrant workers, and also immigrant workers in general.
